Is there any doubt that this is a great time to be a Rotarian? Can you think of any other organization in which you could make better use of your time and talents to make our community and the world a better place? At a time of special needs and challenges in our local community, nationally, and internationally, Elyria Rotary is perfectly positioned to use its resources to create positive change. Our theme for Rotary this year, "Building Communities - Bridging Continents," directs us to build a positive spirit in our communities and to reach across the divides to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
My goal for this year is to continue to develop and build upon the positive spirit we have ignited in our club. As this spirit becomes even more alive, we will see our community inspired to bigger and better things. In turn, a vibrant and growing community will make our club even stronger, giving us even greater resources to reach our goals.
The future of Elyria Rotary is based on our membership. If we are going to be successful in our efforts this year, we need to support each other as Rotarians. I would encourage you to do this by offering your friendship, providing mentorship and advice, and supporting our businesses or organizations. If we work together and support each other, there is nothing we can't accomplish.
I look forward to working with each and every one of you for a great year of fun, fellowship, and service.
Yours in Rotary
Mike Jaworski
