Fellow Rotarians,
It is with great humility and excitement that I have accepted the nomination to be your President this year. As I reflect on our Club’s past I am in awe of the accomplishments and success. We have much for which to be proud. We are part of a group that truly has changed our community and our world for the better. Rotary is always there willing to lend a helping hand, living out our creed everyday… Service Above Self.
Together we can accomplish astonishing things. There is no greater calling or more noble purpose in life than to serve others. We must inspire others to reach deeper within themselves so humanity will benefit from the personal willingness to serve. The example of selfless giving motivates others to catch the vision and do the same. None of this is possible without you, my fellow Rotarians.
Many past and present Rotarians have set before us the example to follow. Make no mistake; the standard is high. Now is our time to build on the work they have started. We must be an example to those Rotarians after us.
So now, as we move forward, we welcome the new generations to join us. Rotary will remain relevant and effective for years to come with young leaders moving up into positions of responsibility in our community. We must help them realize they belong with us and are vital to this Club’s continued success. If we do this Rotary will thrive and the World will benefit.
Just as we look back at our Club’s past accomplishments, future generations will look back on our accomplishments. So let’s make sure we serve now to shape the future… A future that is TRUE - A future that is FAIR - A future that builds GOODWILL and FRIENDSHIP - A future that is BENEFICIAL to all CONCERNED. This will be our Legacy.
